Luggage drop-off at a konbini - 7-Eleven

7-Eleven is the easiest: no machine, everything happens at the register. The cashier scans your QR code, you attach the label, done. Allow two minutes.

Before you go

  • The Tegaru QR code you received by email, on your phone (a screenshot works) or printed.
  • One QR code per piece of luggage: each suitcase has its own.
  • Maximum size: 160 cm (length + width + height) and 25 kg per item. Anything larger will be refused.
  • Some konbini inside train stations don't offer the service: use the drop-off point Tegaru gives you.

Dropping off your luggage at 7-Eleven, step by step

  1. 1Go straight to the register

Walk in with your suitcase and QR code and go straight to the register: no need for the multi-copy machine.

  2. 2Show the QR code to the cashier

Show your Tegaru QR code on your phone. The cashier scans it and prints the shipping slip. Nothing to pay: shipping is already included in your booking.

  3. 3Attach the label to your suitcase

The cashier hands you the slip (伝票レシート) and an adhesive plastic sleeve. Slide the slip into the sleeve and stick it flat on the suitcase.

  4. 4Hand the suitcase to staff

Give the suitcase to the cashier and keep your receipt. Your luggage leaves with Yamato and arrives on the date you chose.

Good to know

  • One sentence is enough: 「宅急便の発送をお願いします」 (takkyūbin no hassō o onegai shimasu, "I'd like to send a Yamato parcel").
