With Tegaru, travel light in Japan: we transport your luggage between your hotels and apartments so you can fully enjoy your stay. Our customer service in France and Japan, available in French and Japanese, allows you to book or modify a delivery in just a few moments.
Simplify your trips to Japan with our luggage management and transport service. Travel light and stress-free: drop off your suitcases at the konbini nearest to your departure point, we deliver them to your destination safely.
The idea is simple: instead of dragging suitcases through stations, metro staircases and packed trains, you hand them to Tegaru in the morning and find them the next day at your next accommodation. In between, you sightsee hands-free.
Konbini Drop-off
Drop your suitcases at the konbini closest to your departure point. Show the QR code you received when booking and the staff handles the rest: no label to fill in, no Japanese to speak.
Secure Transport
Your luggage travels on the Japanese delivery network, known for its punctuality. A tracking link is sent as soon as your bags are collected, so you always know where they are.
Everywhere in Japan
From Tokyo to Okinawa via Kyoto, Osaka, Hiroshima, Nagano and Hokkaido: we deliver across the country, to hotels and rental apartments alike.
Why choose Tegaru
Forwarding luggage is common practice in Japan, but it gets complicated fast when you cannot read Japanese and no customer service answers in your language. That is exactly the problem Tegaru solves.
Travel days without a suitcase
Changing cities easily eats up half a day: full lockers, coin lockers too small, station staircases with no lift. Send your luggage the day before and you get that time back for sightseeing, boarding the Shinkansen hands-free.
Customer service in French and Japanese
Our teams are reachable in France and in Japan. You book, change or postpone a delivery in your own language, without a Japanese-only form or a machine translator at the very moment you need clarity.
Tracked delivery, as soon as the next day
Most deliveries are made the day after drop-off. Allow two days for Okinawa and remote islands. A tracking link is sent to you as soon as your suitcases are collected.
A price you know before booking
The price depends on the number of bags and the route, and it is shown before payment. Our multi-leg routes start at €160 for three legs, with no surprise surcharge once you are in Japan.
Planning your trip
A few official references to help you plan your stops and understand how luggage forwarding works in Japan.
Four steps and about ten minutes of your time. You book online, drop your luggage at the agreed point, we carry it, and you pick it up at your next accommodation.
1Registration
Fill in the online form: departure point, destination, preferred date and time slot, number of bags. It takes a few minutes, then you receive your confirmation and your QR code.
2Luggage Drop-off
Drop your luggage at the place agreed when booking — konbini, hotel or accommodation. Show your QR code: the staff prints the label and takes over.
3Delivery
Enjoy your day hands-free while your bags travel. Delivery happens the day after drop-off in the vast majority of cases, two days towards Okinawa and remote islands.
4Luggage Pick-up
Collect your luggage at the delivery address. At a hotel, reception keeps it for you; in an apartment, you simply need to be there during the chosen slot.
You pick the delivery date and time slot when booking. There is nothing else to do afterwards: the tracking link is sent to you automatically.
Destination Packages
Three multi-leg routes built from the itineraries most travelled by our customers. Each route bundles several legs at a fixed price, bookable in one go.
Winter: Tokyo -> Hokkaido/Nagano -> Osaka/Kyoto -> Osaka/Kyoto -> Tokyo
Four legs that follow the seasons, from €225: the snow of Hokkaido or Nagano in winter, the beaches of Okinawa and Fukuoka in summer.
Would you rather build your own itinerary? Custom booking lets you freely choose every pick-up and delivery point.

Do I need to be there for the delivery?
At a hotel, no: reception takes in and keeps your luggage. In an apartment you need to be present during the chosen slot, otherwise a second attempt is charged.
